Ausangate Trek 5 Days / 4 Nights

Itinerary

An incredible journey and less known around the sacred mountain (Apu) of Ausangate (6372 meters) that takes you through mountain passes, breathtaking mountain landscapes, remote Andean villages, hot springs and turquoise lakes. It is a recommended for lovers of mountain trekking searching for an intense experience in remote wilderness areas and unforgettable walk.

Itinerary

Day 1
Cusco – Tinki – Upis

Early in the morning pick up from the hotel in Cusco, then board our transport for a trip of about three hours through beautiful landscapes and several traditional villages such as Urcos, Cattca and Ocongate reach Tinki, where we have lunch, after lunch, we start our trek through a dry climate with little vegetation, seeing the landscape of the Vilcanota mountain range with excellent views of the Ausangate, walk for two hours to reach the hot springs of Upis, offering breathtaking views of Ausangate in the end of the valley, camp our first night and dinner.

Day 2
Upis – Ausangatecocha

After breakfast we will take the walk up through approx. 4 hours until reaching step Arapa (4850 m) and then descend to find the appropriate place for lunch, walk paths where we see wild animals, this area find three gaps beautiful, three different shades these: Yanacocha HatunPukacocha, and Qomerqocha. Day 3
Ausangatecocha – Q’ampa

Day 4
Q’ampa – Pacchanta

After breakfast we will walk for approx. 2 hours to reach the last step of Q’ampa (5000 m), where we will see several lakes of different colors, have lunch at the side of the lagoon Qoma Qocha, then we walk for several hours to reach the village of Pacchanta, where we can enjoy its hot springs for a couple of hours, where he also set camp and will have the afternoon free to explore the same Andean village, night and dinner.

Day 5
Pacchanta – Tinki – Cusco

In the morning after breakfast, we will Pacchanta and begin the return to Tinki walk 3 hours, once in Tinki, explore the same Andean traditional village, later we will take the transportation that will take us to the city of Cusco, arriving in Cusco at 18:00 hrs approx.
