Ausangate Trek 6 Days / 5 Nights

Ausangate Mountain is the highest and most majestic of our city of Cusco peak, the Ausangate has a height (6,372 meters / 20,900 feet). And it has a great significance among cusqueños. For us, this is a sacred peak and call it “Apu”. Although this peak can be seen practically from most parts of Cusco, only a few enjoy the view from up close.

The area around Ausangate is dotted with attractive views of turquoise lakes, hot springs and traditional Andean villages. On this trip, will visit the pristine lake, Lake Sibinacocha. A route is quite challenging and hikers should acclimate well before the walk. Usually we suspend this hike from December to February due to adverse weather conditions.
