Itinerary
A beautiful and ancient celebration in the Andean religion, there were several reasons, which prompted to make sacrifices and offerings to the god INTI (Sun), during the winter solstice, only the members of the Inca (the royal panaca) considered natural children of the Sun , they performed the ceremony, in gratitude to Mother Earth (Pacha Mama) to the good harvest, and to start the new Andean year, more than six centuries ago, the Inca Pachacutec instituted the Feast to the Sun God.
The Inti Raymi is the largest, transcendental, spectacular and majestic festival, held in the time of the Tahuantinsuyo, currently continues to represent with the same intensity and brilliance that our ancestors, to theatrical performance full of movement and tonality, make it even more attractive and unique in Southamerica.
Itinerary
We will move to the Temple of Qoricancha (Av. El Sol) on foot, the beginning of the first staging at 09:00 a.m approximately.
Later we will be routed to the Plaza del Hawqaypata (Plaza Mayor of Cusco). For the next ceremony at 10:30 a.m. approximately.
The central ceremony will be held at the Chukipampa Esplanade – Sacsayhuamán 01:45 p.m. approximately.
