Day 1
Cusco – Quillarumiyoc – Tarawasi – Canyon of the Condor

The tour begins in the city of Cusco 8 am heading to Limatambo during the tour will visit two beautiful and interesting archaeological sites and Tarawasi Quillarumiyoc that possibly were used as astronomical observatories by the Incas. We continue to the town of Limatambo where we have lunch at a local restaurant.

The adventure begins with a panoramic view of the community of Chonta located 3,400 meters from the snowy Salkantay and Humantay, after walking a half hour and about by a beautiful road finally arrive to the viewpoint of Huaco, which is located on the banks right of the barrel of the Apurimac river at 3,350 meters.

From the viewpoint we will have a spectacular view of the Apurimac Canyon and have the opportunity to appreciate the impressive flaneo Andean condors in their natural habitat. The condor is the largest bird of prey flaneadora of the world, considered a sacred bird of the Incas. With a little luck we can also observe birds such as eagles, hawks, white-tailed deer.
